For weeks now, DHL Vietnam has stalled, contradicted itself, and ignored evidence. I’ve provided my visa. I’ve provided my passport stamps. I’ve proven beyond doubt that the so-called “30-day rule” excuse is false. And yet, DHL continues to delay.
So today, I’ve issued a final escalation warning. The message is simple:
- I will not walk away.
- I will not allow DHL to destroy or misappropriate my shipment.
- I will continue until this matter is fully resolved — whether DHL cooperates or whether it is decided publicly and through higher authorities.
Here is the text of my latest email to DHL:
Final escalation notice — AWB# 9666215495
Dear Mr Tran, Ms Linh,
Thank you for your most recent correspondence.
Let me be clear: I have repeatedly provided the necessary documentation, including my valid visa and proof of re-entry, within the required timeframe. The continuing delays and contradictory explanations I am receiving are not the result of my actions, but of DHL’s mishandling of this shipment.
As a professional with a background where persistence and clarity were non-negotiable, I do not abandon matters when barriers are placed in front of me. I will continue until this matter is fully resolved—whether with your cooperation or through further escalation.
That escalation will include:
- Ongoing publication of DHL’s handling of this case through my platforms and social channels;
- Continued lodging of complaints with consumer protection authorities in both Australia and Vietnam;
- Escalation to DHL’s regional and global communications and executive teams.
You can choose whether DHL Vietnam resolves this issue professionally and cooperatively, or whether you prefer to have it decided in public view and through higher authorities.
The choice is yours.
I request written confirmation within 48 hours of the precise next steps and timeline for clearance or delivery.
Regards,
Lee Hopkins

Lesson for DHL
Leadership isn’t about hiding from problems. It’s about confronting them directly, taking responsibility, and resolving them quickly. Silence and evasion might feel like protection in the short term — but they always multiply the long-term reputational damage.
